Not as easy to use as advertised. Why am I forced through crop and filter steps when all I want to do is blur? If I have to use to fingers to pan and zoom while using the paintbrush, why is that also the control for rotating the image? I didn’t download a photo rotating app, I just want to blur. Why are there two different white circle tools under paintbrush? What is the non-default one for? The default, second white circle seems to work, so IDFK what the other ones are. There’s an auto blur feature, but that blurs the whole image instead of the faces I’m after. What was your auto mode supposed to do? Am I just getting old, or is this app bloated with half baked nonsense instead of being really good at the one thing I want it to do well?

App may be good, but there is no reason for you to have my location or location of where photos were taken. You do not offer options to protect my privacy.

The app works for what it’s designed to do but there is no option to save the original photo quality. For example I edited a 48 megapixel photo with the app then saved the edited photo. The megapixels dropped to three or less at times. Is there any fix for this?

Over the years I’ve needed a blurring app for photos, as I do a lot of mail and take photos for my Instagram. I need to blur our names and addresses. Or identifiable information. This app does exactly what I need. Not only is it a good blur app, but it has other features such as cropping and filters so you can do multiple things just in the one app. Also, as far as ads, there are some but they don’t annoy you or pop up all the time. I’ve used this app for a few years now and it is far better than others as far as functionality and usage with the free version. Very happy with this app! Definitely get it if you’re on the fence and need to blur photos in a pinch.

Really useful, not irritating like a lot of the AI eraser apps. I can select what I want to blur and it does what I want it to do.

I've requested immediate cancelation of the free trial and subscription of this app on July 8th after seeing the horrible and limited picture quality it renders after editing, and I have screenshots for proof. Somehow they still ended up charging me for a year of premium subscription AFTER I had already deactivated. I'm escalating this with Apple. Highly suspicious. Stay away from the developer!

It makes my photos look as though I’m taken them with a fancy SLR. Love it!

I was Charged regardless of canceling service. The company that owns blur is under investigation by the FTC as well as the BBB for fraudulent handling of consumer payment methods. Still waiting on my refund u scum

I wanted to try the 3 day free trial. I was charged the full amount upon downloading!

The first blur app I tried wouldn’t even allow me to read the tos without requesting it.. why would I pay for a service like that? Which the app was literally forcing me to do before I could even try it out further. Not this app! Took me 2 seconds to get what I needed and if I needed more or didn’t like the ads I would pay for this one over the other blur apps. Simple and cheaper.

I’m tired of false advertisements that lure you into downloading the app. There is no censor option. Also, all options are locked unless you pay for the app. Don’t waste your time cuzz

It could be better either the blurring shapes

I rarely write reviews without utilizing a product for a bit, but since I was prompted for one after finishing my first photo and I had thoughts, I decided to share. This is a decent app for changing the focal detail of any area of a photo (not just background or foreground). User “paints” the areas they’d like to alter and can choose both the strength of alteration as well as the type (blur, pixelate, various textures, etc). User can change the size of the brush and can also choose between 4 levels of brush hardness. Initially, I attempted to change the background of my photo and was unhappy with how close I could get to the subject. I read the directions found under the “?” Tab and learned about the “invert” function; it was easier for me to paint the foreground and invert the blur. The app also has a plethora (at least 20!) of filter options! I rarely use filters because the changes are often too strident, IMHO, but this app actually has some nicely balanced filters One thing I found myself wishing for was a smaller brush size. My photo had animals in the foreground and I wanted to capture the whisker details but couldn’t cut in close enough to do so. The other thing I wanted, when playing with the filters, was a way to compare filter options/mark those I was considering so I don’t have to a) remember the filter names, or b) scroll back to view each one. Maybe consider bumping selected filters to the front/back so they can be easily compared to each other. Also, for users that might use the app more frequently, a “favorites” section that auto-populates at the front of the reel would be helpful. (Frequent users often have a style preference and will gravitate towards the same filters…having to scroll through a long set of thumbnails to find “noir,” for instance, will get old fast.) I’m not sure this app provides the breadth of photo adjustments I’m searching for, but it IS a solid performer as far as basic photo blurring,etc. goes and it does have a very nice array of filters. Of course I’d prefer that it - and so many other things in life - be free, but $12/year seems reasonable, even for occasional users.

Finally an app that doesn’t make you pay for every single thing!

It says it’s $2.99 a month but keeps charging my card $11.64 multiple times a month.

I purchased this app only to censor out a photo or two because my editing software that I usually use doesn’t work like that and I haven’t once been able to pixelate because it’s premium only and that is the stupidest thing ever like do you expect me to pay 12.00 a year for something I hardly use???!!!! Well now I won’t be using at all

This will give you a good variety of blur effects. Due to these being reliable and effective, three stars. IMO it would be fair priced as a one time fee. Due to having to pay either an ongoing charge for these simple effects (early or monthly fee), -2 stars for excess price.
